Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, the nation's first community development corporation, partners with Central Brooklyn residents and business to foster economic self sufficiency, enhance family stability and growth, promote the arts and culture, and help the neighborhood develop into a safe, vibrant place to live, work and visit. Since its establishment in 1967, the CDC has helped attract more than $500 million in investment, placed over 20,000 youth and adults in jobs, and helped construct or renovate 2,200 units of housing.
