The Durable Slate Company, founded in 2003, renovates and installs roofing in an old world style that is desired by many of their clients, including churches, government buildings and museums. Their headquarters are in Columbus. Their most recent project includes the roof renovation of a symbolic bell tower at the 100-year-old historic Main Building at Olney Friends School. The Durable Slate Company is one of the recipients of the Ohio Social Entrepreneur 2010 award.
