Co-op Power's strategy for regional transformation is to create as many quality jobs in green businesses as possible in as many communities as possible. To do so, the cooperative focuses its efforts on building a membership base interested in innovative local economic development as well as the financial and environmental benefits associated with clean energy ownership and energy efficiency. In this way, Co-op Power is able to leverage resources from a diverse group of stakeholders, including grassroots organizations serving low-income communities and communities of color across the region.
