Founded in 1997, Family Resources of New Orleans enables and empowers families to become self-sufficient through homeownership, employment, and self-employment. Services include homeownership education and counseling, credit rehabilitation, default and foreclosure prevention counseling, financial literacy courses, and rental counseling. Family Resources also has an Individual Development Account (IDA) program, which provides a $4 match for each dollar that working low-income families save to acquire an asset.
