Highlights from the 2014 Jacksonville Community Wealth Building Roundtable

With the encouragement of ICARE (The Interfaith Coalition for Action, Reconciliation and Empowerment), the City of Jacksonville invited The Democracy Collaborative to organize an exploratory conversation around community wealth building as a means of addressing local poverty and economic marginalization. Based on our research and interviews, we convened the roundtable highlighted in the film here, where local stakeholders and advocates had the chance to hear from expert practitioners from five other cities already working on initiatives to build community wealth and strategize about what form a similar project might take in Jacksonville.  (Learn more about our work in Jacksonville here.)
