Based in Newark, The Intersect Fund provides microloans, business training, and coaching to low-income, minority, and women-owned business owners throughout New Jersey. Established in 2009 by two Rutgers students with just $1,000 in seed capital, it has provided to date more than 300 loans totaling more than $800,000, as well as technical assistance to more than 1,000 businesses.
