New York City Comptroller, "Economically targeted investments"

In 2003, the New York City Comptroller's office made new economically targeted investments (ETI) or financial commitments of city worker pensions totaling $234.5 million and has increased its investments since that period. Since the ETI program began, close to $2 billion has been invested in New York City’s five boroughs. Specific results include $757 million for the preservation or new construction of 29,694 affordable apartments, 705 loans helping families secure 4,236 units of low and moderate-income housing, and over $653 million to create or preserve over 24,000 multi-family and workforce affordable apartment units.
