The Nonprofit Finance Fund was established in 1980 and is now one of the nation's leading community development financial institutions (CDFIs), serving nonprofits in the Washington, D.C. area, the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, New Jersey, New England, nationwide through an alliance program, the Philadelphia area, Detroit, and Chicago. To date, the organization has provided over $287 million in loans and access to additional financing in support of over $1.4 billion in projects, $1.2 million in loan guarantees, $10.3 million in 9/11 recovery grants, $13 million in capital grants, and $2 million in planning grants.
