The newly revised PBS documentary “Fixing the Future” by David Brancaccio is being released in theaters later this month. Along with many other wealth building initiatives from around the country, the Evergreen Cooperatives are also profiled. We hope you will be able to attend one of the screenings that will be held in hundreds of cities across the country on July 18th and 19th.

Other highlighted wealth building strategies include: local business alliances, community banking, time banking/hour exchange, worker cooperatives and local currencies. Following the documentary on the night of July 18, 2012, audiences will also be able to view an onscreen discussion panel featuring Bill McKibben, Majora Carter, Mike Brady and David Brancaccio.

From the trailer:

There are places right now in America where communities are fixing the future.
Across the country, people have found new ways to work, new ways to create jobs….and new ways to be sensible about using the earth’s resources.
Fixing the future is a journey of discovery, finding communities which are thriving in these difficult times.
