Owned and operated by New Community Corporation and located in a renovated church, The Priory Restaurant and Jazz Club aims to provide training and employment for NCC residents and graduates, all while keeping Newark's jazz roots alive and providing income to support the CDC. In addition to its restaurant component, which specializes in Creole and Cajun cuisine, Priory features free jazz music on Friday evenings and has a catering business.
