Campus Partners

Incorporated in 1995, Campus Partners for Community Urban Redevelopment is a non-profit group that was formed to redevelop and improve the low-income communities around Ohio State University. They have developed the South Campus Gateway, a revitalized neighborhood in a low-income area under Columbus’s Empowerment Zone. The university-community partnership has also helped to add 700 new jobs stemming from the mixed-used development, which includes a retail district with 35 businesses spanning 225,000 square feet—including a movie theater and a number of restaurants—184 apartments, and 88,000 square feet of office space.
