MiraCit is a nonprofit community development corporation formed in 1993, focused on the community revitalization of Northeast Columbus. MiraCit generated annual revenue of just under $1.6 million in 2009. Recent projects include the North Central Village construction of a 74-unit senior apartment complex on what used to be a trailer park. The Green View Estates is Columbus’s first eco-friendly neighborhood with 30 single-family homes transformed from an abandoned housing project area. Generating 125 jobs, the FCI Plaza and Marketplace project renovated a 46,000 square feet strip mall to foster neighborhood businesses.
