Established in 1981, the Harmon Foundation began offering Program-Related Investment as zero interest loans. The Foundation's original goal was to create a revolving fund of loans that would allow them to continually expand on the size and amount of projects they supported. After 31 years, the foundation has successfully accumulated assets that exceed $43 million. Since its launch, they have approved 103 Program loans exceeding $20 million, and not one loan has defaulted.
